As a young chid Lettie was lively and fun. Easily touched by others she wanted to 'belong', joining clubs and gangs and following her big brother wherever he would let her. Being so close in age Sam and Lettie fought like mad for the early part of their lives, each seeing the other as 'favorite'. Teenage years brought them closer and they spent a lot of time together in the pubs and clubs of Richmond. During this time Lettie developed scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and suffered sever pain for several years. Despite her challenging shape and considerable pain she never complained being detirmined not to let it stop her life.
